was reading this book called "tuesdays with morrie".though it's a secular book, but stil, it made me think, as the old man go thru different topics and one of it was talking about how to listen to others.yeah duh. listen. with my ears. but how about listening with your heart, listening, as if you are not going to answer anyway, yet you listen on?when was the last time you listened and within a minute, stray off and became a -nods head, say yes, nod head again, say yes again- monotonous person?but when was the last time you listened for 5 minutes, with all your full focus on that certain person, without trying to sell him/her something or waiting for him/her to finish the sentence before you can answer?oh man, im so guilty of this. i like to talk.ALOT.that i sometime forget to listenwith my heart.talking seems to be my second nature.listening became sth distant to me.bad. very bad.a quote from the book.-when you talk to someone, bring yourself out of the situation, even if you do not put yourself in the another person's shoe-tuesdays with morriea quote from the bible-He who answers before listening— that is his folly and his shame.-proverbs 18:13ponders-
