saw this very.. inspiring nick on one particular friend's MSN.
-what exactly am i fighting for?-
and it made me think. what exactly are people fighting for? money. position. authority. name. fame. the best car. the best job. the best spouse. the best outfit. the top post. the popular girl or guy in school.
what exactly it is?
for me, is a fight to be a friend to all my friends.
what exactly counts as a friend?
a friend that treats you genuinely. who loves you like you are, yet choose to point out your flaws so that you can improve. one that do not only pinpoint but also offers to help you change. one who accepts that you can't change in a blink of an eye and choose to undergo the changing process with you.
but yet.many a times, what do people look for? a perfect made friend, who is supposingly without flaws? who doesnt need any changing, who is perfect on his or her own?
a. if you can't accept your friend's flaws, you are not being a friend.
a. if you see your friend's flaw, yet choose to keep quiet about it, you are not being a friend.
a. if you saw your friend's flaw, and tell him/her about it, yet chose not to stick by him/her thru the process, you are not being a friend.
a. but if you saw your friend's flaw, and tell him/her about it , and chose to stick by him/her thru the process, and yet had not loved(as a friend, i must say), you are not being a friend.
geunine love.
it's that simple thing that makes friends, FRIENDS.

i want to be one.
many times,people look to different areas of their life, to seek for true love, geunine love. love that never fails them, never leave them. yet many a times, they failed miserably, ending up to be crawling back , defeated and worn. sometimes we just have to look around us. we don have to look far. everything that may seem far , may be something very easily found afterall.
take God's love for example. simple. it's everywhere. u can accept it anywhere you want to. yet no one knows about or rather do not want to know about it, cos they simply DON SEE IT. in this world that we are living , lives a theory at work - i believe in only wad i see and nothing else, cos wad i see is the truth and nothing else but the truth-. which is directly opposite of what the earth is orginally created with and for.
to deny myself, to recognise Christ in me!
